Directed, curated audio style, and produced episodes of The Daily Shine - a daily reflection and meditation and the app’s most popular audio product - throughout 2020 & 2021. As I worked on the show, the Shine app was named Apple’s Best of 2020, partly for a Black Mental Health series I developed with Jor-El Caraballo. Directed episodes for other Shine series as well, including Nightcaps (relaxing stories for falling asleep) with Elisha Mudly and a collaboration with GrubHub.
During my time directing and producing The Daily Shine, the show saw:
A 15% increase in total tracks started per month
A 25% increase in weekly app users listening to our audio content
A 6% increase in track completion rate
The Daily Shine was listened to by an average of 10,000 people each weekday (combining in-app and podcast platforms)
